Agile Coach

iProov is building an environment where continuous improvement of the development process is in focus. Agile coaches will work closely with Platforms and their teams to improve quality, efficiency, and outcomes, as well as taking responsibility for the wider growth of agile capability and competency across iProov Tech.

This is an exciting time for iProov and the industry we are involved in and as our first Agile Coach position, we are looking for someone who will reinvigorate adoption of Agile across Tech and Product. It is an opportunity to shape our Agile strategy, coach and mentor high performing teams to the next level and potentially build a team and make an impact.

Responsibilities include, but not limited to:

  • Provide hands-on support and expertise to initiatives to help multiple, cross-functional teams define and implement the best possible approaches to deliver the highest value to our business and customers and how to involve them in the product development journey
  • Shape and support the adoption of consistent measures that can be used to drive improvements in teams, Platforms and the whole of iProov Tech in terms of quality, efficiency and outcomes
  • Share innovative practices across platforms to drive continuous improvements using different techniques as appropriate
  • Build and deliver Internal enablement courses and initiatives, both in person and remote to help grow the capability of the people within iProov
  • Facilitating getting the work done without coercion, assigning, or dictating the work
  • Facilitating discussion, decision making, and conflict resolution
  • Demonstrating a real willingness to disrupt the status quo and execute this confidently, sensitively handling difficult conversations when required
  • Assisting with internal and external communication, improving transparency using a variety of methods and tooling, and radiating the right information
  • Demonstrating vast knowledge of various patterns, anti-patterns and techniques to help the team understand issues and improve e.g. Retrospective formats, basic team metrics burndowns, simple root cause analysis techniques etc
  • You actively listen to different opinions and experiences & openly share your experiences and contribute to discussions in the Delivery community

We’d Love To Meet Someone With:

  • Demonstrable experience of leveraging Agile and Lean principles to empower platforms to innovate, adapt, and deliver value
  • Breadth of experience in advocating Agile/Lean principles  in different environments
  • Hands-on experience in using Scrum, XP, Kanban and JIRA as main supporting tooling.
  • The ability to flex your approach based upon the context and your personal experience
  • Strong coaching background and experience helping people and teams achieve results and improve outcomes
  • Knowledgeable mentor, teacher and facilitator
  • Previous experience of working within a fast-paced, high change organisation
  • The ability to communicate with iProovers at all levels, flexing your style as necessary
  • Previous experience of working within agile teams with a record of continuous improvement
  • Good understanding of DevOps culture, CI/CD, Infrastructure as Code and cloud technologies
