Research Engineer

iProov has continued to scale rapidly this year and is currently looking for a Research Engineer to join the growing AI function in our talented Science team based in London. You will be responsible for helping create the next generation of biometric security systems, solving cutting edge problems and working with the rest of the team to deploy the solutions.

How you’ll make an impact:

  • Take ownership of research areas in computer vision, machine learning and biometrics with high degree of autonomy
  • Work with our developers to see the products of the research turned into production code
  • Collaborate with the research team on best solutions
  • Communicate research outcomes across the company
  • Contribute to the broader research strategy of the company
  • Challenge the status quo of the existing solutions

We tend to look for people with:

  • A Masters or PhD in a numerate discipline such as computer science, engineering,

computational neuroscience

  • You are experienced in machine learning and computer vision
  • You have strong mathematical ability
  • You have experience developing research projects in Python
  • Good understanding of Machine Learning techniques, including Neural Networks
  • Confident with Python libraries such as NumPy, Pandas, SKLearn
  • Understanding of Deep Learning libraries such as PyTorch, Tensorflow
  • Good communication skills to understand, develop and pass on complex concepts
  • Have strong programming skills with strong knowledge of data structures, object-oriented programming and software engineering principles
