Security Engineer, UK

iProov is looking for an experienced Security Engineer to join our growing tech team in London. You will work with teams responsible for developing and operating the company’s platforms and services and will evaluate, recommend, plan and drive execution of security best practice.

As a Security Engineer, you will be from a technical background well versed in cyber security infrastructure and familiar with support and development platforms – the role will be pivotal in defining the company’s new operations platform and you will bring insight and expertise to its design and delivery.

The Security Engineer is expected to be remote until summer 2021 and will then be based from our London HQ. The Security Engineer reports into our Head of Operations & Compliance.

Responsibilities:

  • Ensure the iProov security footprint across the estate is comprehensive and fit for purpose
  • Drive cyber security strategy compliance
  • Introduce and develop security processes and tools to automate and remediate identified deficiencies
  • Liaise with development groups to identify security aspects of proposals proactively
  • Work with Compliance & Operations to produce end to end documentation to address customer demands
  • Run internal vulnerability and penetration tests alongside other teams to identify weaknesses

Qualifications & Skills

  • In depth IP Networking and Security comprehension
  • Application Security, Container Application vulnerabilities inspection, tooling, and testing
  • Database Security frameworks
  • IDS (Intrusion Detection System) configuration and monitoring
  • Detailed understanding of SIEM, Data Governance, WAF, and MFA
  • Conversant and competent with ITIL, ISO 27001, Cloud Security Alliance, NIST 800-53, PCI DSS, GDPR, etc.
  • Familiar with Kubernetes and Microservice runtime environments
  • Familiar with Cloud Services from Microsoft, Goggle, and AWS
  • Conversant with development environments and deployment technologies.
  • Familiar with cloud computing standards – ISO 17788/17789, CSA CCM/STAR
  • Security certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CCSP or equivalent security-related industry certifications and AWS Certification preferred.
  • Critical thinking and problem-solving skills
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, documentation, and reporting
  • An ability to work autonomously as well as part of a highly skilled, collaborative team environment
