SVP Operations & People, UK

iProov is searching for an outstanding SVP Operations & People to join our Senior Leadership Team in London and oversee a period of dramatic change and growth. You will manage our scaling efforts as we double in size over the next 12 months and set strategy for the Operations and People function as the business expands globally.

iProov is a London-based technology business that has rapidly established itself as the world leader in its field. We focus on the cyber-security of digital identity, and in particular on biometric facial verification, in which our patented and proven technology for assuring the genuine presence of a person has won us major contracts to serve organisations such as the UK Home Office, the NHS, the US Department of Homeland Security, the Singapore Government, ING bank and many others worldwide.

In 2020 we were recognized as a Gartner Cool Vendor and as the 5th fastest growing technology company in the UK by Deloitte. After several years of developing and perfecting the technology, iProov’s commercial success since 2019 is driving a phase of spectacular growth. Our staff numbers will double this year, to support revenue growth well in excess of that rate. Over the next three years, iProov will continue to grow very rapidly to become a substantial international organisation with offices in many countries.

The SVP Operations & People will have a profound impact on the future character and success of the business. This unconventional role brings together leadership and accountability in both People and Business Operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Strategy for and execution of the continuing fast expansion of iProov talent worldwide
  • Leadership and development of the People function and its staff
  • Delivery of company progress on diversity, equality and inclusion
  • Maintenance and development of iProov culture and its values
  • Ensuring compliance with employment law and regulations worldwide, to support an increasingly remote workforce
  • Key business processes to support the growth of the company: identification, design and delivery
  • Key business KPIs – definition, monitoring and exception alerting
  • Establishment and maintenance of key rituals and cadences to deliver sustained quality, efficiency, agility and risk management across functions
  • Definition of RACIs to ensure effective cross-functional processes

Qualifications & Skills:

As SVP Operations & People, you will have experience working in high growth, fast paced tech-first environments. You are passionate about building & supporting high performing teams through the promotion of systems, process and values.

  • Track record of success across Operations & People in a high growth startup/scaleup environment
  • Experience leading a People function in a global business
  • Experience and understanding of employment law and regulation in the UK and Internationally
  • In-depth knowledge of current and best practice trends in Talent and HR
  • Excellent project management skills with proven experience managing end-to-end projects involving multiple departments & senior stakeholders
  • Business operations experience, including process development and implementation
  • Track record of successfully managing, developing and mentoring teams
  • Values driven and good at building and sustaining trust
  • Preferably have a CIPD qualification and/or MBA

The SVP Operations & People is expected to work remotely until Summer 2021 and will then be based at our London HQ with some international travel.
