VP of Sales – US Public Sector

The Role:

iProov is looking for a bold and ambitious Vice President of Sales – US Public Sector to help accelerate our considerable traction across federal agencies and state governments in the United States.

We are looking for an experienced sales leader to build, grow and manage our sales team, sales process, and sales metrics reporting on our Public Sector pipeline. This exciting role is perfect for someone with a solid track record in selling enterprise technology to the US Government and has an entrepreneurial spirit to build a great team to help iProov grow to the next level.

The right candidate will bring a perfect blend of the art and science of technology sales with a disciplined go-to-market approach, revenue-generation in mind, in-depth understanding of KPIs along with excellent team-building ability.

Responsibilities:

  • Drive revenue across the US public sector
  • Work with iProov leadership to shape our US public sector strategy
  • Lead our US public sector team, including both federal- and state-focused sales teams
  • Personally manage critical opportunities and relationships in the US federal government
  • Build relationships with teams across iProov to help grow pipeline and reach sales targets
  • Provide ongoing support to your team, as well as partner with other internal sales, marketing and product teams, to drive sales opportunities
  • Play an active role in sales activities and help close our largest opportunities
  • Manage a sales team of experienced execs through sales processes, lead nurturing, and tracking to revenue targets
  • Consistently manage and report on sales metrics to executive team and board
  • Manage Public Sector sales pipeline in the US, and forecast future sales pipeline and metrics

You will need: 

  • 5+ years experience closing large, complex technology services and solutions deals with the US federal government
  • 5+ years of experience selling and closing with targets exceeding $2m
  • Experience managing or growing a book of business with the US federal government, ideally of at least $25m
  • An ability to navigate the hallways of government with ease, building relationships and alliances along the way
  • A bold vision for how to dominate a competitive market
  • A strong understanding of US federal sales processes, contracting vehicles, and the basic mechanics of selling into government
  • Strong leadership, problem solving and decision making skills
  • Bachelor’s Degree or 10+ years of relevant experience
  • Willingness to travel as necessary, not likely to exceed 10%

  • Knowledge of the biometrics or identity industries
  • Location in or near Washington DC (will consider any location on the East Coast)
  • Ability to thrive under pressure
