Countries around the world are facing a challenge: how to manage borders with the highest level of security, while maximizing contactless travel in a pandemic world? In 2018, the US Department of Homeland Security chose iProov to help enhance and secure cross-border passenger travel.
iProov enables governments to manage contactless and remote border crossings securely with the use of biometric technology. A one-time face scan, completed on a computer, tablet, kiosk or mobile device, confirms that an individual is the right person, a real person, and authenticating right now, protecting against identity theft and imposters.
iProov became the first overseas company to be awarded a contract from the US Department of Homeland Security Science and Technology Directorate’s Silicon Valley Innovation Program (SVIP). The contract was awarded to iProov to help CBP improve the passenger entry operation process. iProov will develop technology that aims to enhance cross-border passenger travel at unmanned ports of entries while reducing processing time. It could help US CBP quickly, accurately and reliably identify travelers as they process through US border crossings.
iProov Enroller enables you to verify the identity of new customers during the online onboarding process. Enroller uses Genuine Presence Assurance® to confirm a user is the right person, a real person, and authenticating right now.
Once an individual has onboarded, iProov Face Verifier enables ongoing authentication for checking the status of applications or for completing renewals.
iProov Palm Verifier ensures remote biometric authentication using a contactless palm scan to ensure that the user is genuinely present during authentication and that it is taking place in real-time.
