The acceleration of contactless travel in 2020 has been unprecedented. Technology projects that were once focused on easing passenger congestion are now of critical importance to both human health and business survival. iProov is working with travel organizations to facilitate contactless travel using facial biometric technology.
When people are traveling, they want to relax. They want to get coffee, or dinner, or shop for supplies — not stand in long lines.
With facial biometric technology, travel providers can reduce the bottlenecks with check-from-home services. Travelers verify their identity from the comfort of their own homes with a brief facial scan. They can then breeze past the queues using their face as their ticket. No need to show tickets and ID documentation at check-in and then again at the gate.

iProov provides facial biometric technology that enables passengers to choose to minimize physical contact with hardware and people at travel hubs. Pre-travel onboarding and identity verification takes places online with a brief facial biometric scan assuring the genuine presence of the user. An opt-in biometric corridor then enables the passenger to complete ticket and document checks as they walk through, without contact.
iProov is working with Eurostar to enable contactless journeys with a biometric corridor. The accelerated pre-boarding option will enable passengers to complete ticket checks and border exit processes at St Pancras International station without needing to come into contact with people or hardware.
