How the App Works
2.1 The Harness App is a mobile application developed by iProov to facilitate internal testing, training data collection, and debugging of biometric technologies, including fingerprint biometrics.
2.2 The App is designed to enable authorised users to install and use Harness on their personal or work-provided devices without direct supervision. This self-service model allows users to participate in biometric data collection activities remotely, including from their homes, thereby supporting broader and more scalable testing initiatives.
2.3 The App collects fingerprint data from users for internal purposes. Its functionality is specifically adapted for the collection and analysis of fingerprint data.
2.4 Data collected through the App is processed exclusively for internal operational purposes, including the development, improvement, and evaluation of biometric models and algorithms. Data is not used for production authentication or live deployment purposes.
2.5 Authentication into the App is separate from the biometric testing functionality. Authentication is solely to verify that the user is an authorised iProov personnel and to ensure secure access to the App’s environment.
Eligibility and Access Control
3.1 Access to the App is strictly limited to authorised users acting on behalf of iProov who possess valid @iproov.com Google Account credentials.
3.2 Access is conditional upon successful authentication through Firebase Authentication. Upon first use, you are required to authenticate using your iProov credentials.
3.3 Following successful authentication, a secure session token will be maintained to permit continued access without repeated login, subject to periodic validation of your active session.
3.4 Harness will verify the validity of your session each time the App is opened. If your session becomes invalidated, or if your user account is deactivated or removed from iProov’s systems, your access to the App will be revoked immediately, and you will be logged out.
3.5 Local development (“debug”) builds are exempt from mandatory authentication requirements to facilitate efficient development workflows.
3.6 Upon first use, you will be presented with an HTML page containing these Terms. You must affirmatively accept these Terms to access and use the App. If you decline to accept these Terms, you will be denied access.
3.7 By accepting and continuing to use the App, you consent to these Terms and to the collection, use, and processing of your data as described herein.
Restrictions on Use
4.1 You may only use the App in the manner and for the purposes expressly authorised by this Agreement. Permitted use is strictly limited to internal testing, training, data collection, and debugging activities authorised by iProov.
4.2 You must not attempt to bypass, disable, or otherwise interfere with any authentication mechanisms, security measures, or access controls implemented in relation to the App.
4.3 If this Agreement does not specifically grant you permission to undertake an action or to use the App in a particular way, then you are expressly prohibited from doing so.
4.4 Any use of the App beyond the permissions expressly set out in this Agreement shall constitute a material breach of this Agreement and may result in immediate suspension or termination of your access, in addition to any other rights or remedies available to iProov.
User Identification and Pseudonymisation
5.1 For existing users, Harness maintains a mapping between users’ @iproov.com email addresses and their HiBob User IDs in order to support operational, debugging, and monitoring requirements.
5.2 For new users, Harness automatically generates a randomised six-character alphanumeric User ID for pseudonymisation purposes.
5.3 Although users may have the technical ability to update their User ID through the App’s interface, it is strongly advised that you do not modify your pre-assigned User ID.
5.4 In the event that you update your User ID to a value that is unlinked from your original assigned identifier, you acknowledge and accept that iProov may no longer be able to identify your data, and consequently may be unable to facilitate the exercise of your data protection rights, including rights of access, rectification, or erasure.

6.1 You must at all times comply with the Acceptable Use Policy set out in Schedule 1 to this Agreement.

7.3 The particulars of how Personal Data is collected, used, stored, and otherwise processed through the Harness App are further described in the Harness Privacy Policy. Users are strongly encouraged to review the Privacy Policy to understand the nature and scope of data processing.
7.4 The Privacy Policy and the Data Processing Agreement each form an integral part of these Terms. The Privacy Policy is made available to users through the App.
7.5 Access to the App is conditional upon your agreement to these Terms and your acknowledgement of the associated data processing activities described herein and in the Harness Privacy Policy.

9.3 It is your responsibility to review any updated versions of this Agreement. Continued access to or use of the App after any changes have taken effect constitutes your acceptance of the updated terms.
9.4 If you do not agree to any updates to this Agreement, you must immediately cease using the App.
Termination
10.1 iProov may suspend or terminate your access to the App at any time and without prior notice where:

(b) your relationship with iProov is terminated or otherwise ends.
10.2 Upon suspension or termination of your access, you must immediately cease all use of the App and comply with any related instructions provided by iProov.
Disclaimers and Limitation of Liability
11.1 The App is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis. iProov makes no representations or warranties of any kind, express or implied, regarding the availability, operation, or functionality of the App.
